What are you doing for yourself?
Making sure to take care of oneself is as important as taking care of those around us.
Self care is important to everyone, but especially important to those who are taking care of others, specifically others with special needs (medical or otherwise). If one does not care for themselves how will they have the capacity to care for their loved one who needs them? It is really limiting! Taking care of oneself is as simple as taking time to write in a journal, or read a favorite novel or even just watching ones favorite show. Sometimes, in times of extreme anxiety this can help as well. Finding something creative is helpful as well because it uses a different area of the brain, giving the more anxious side a minute to rest.
